Dave Matthews Band Biography
Dave Matthews Band formed in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 1991. Its blend of jam rock, progressive rock, folk, and jazz fusion—shaped by Dave Matthews' distinctive guitar style and the band's improvisational interplay—has built a devoted following over more than three decades. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2024 and is known for changing its setlist from show to show.
The band's catalog includes familiar live favorites such as “Ants Marching,” “Crash Into Me,” “Warehouse,” “Grey Street,” and “Jimi Thing.” Its tenth studio album, Walk Around the Moon, arrived in 2023, with “Madman's Eyes” among its key tracks. At a typical concert, fans can expect a two-set performance drawing from a deep catalog, though the songs and arrangements vary by night.
